JOB DESCRIPTION

LCD Excavation is looking for experienced heavy equipment operators with knowledge of both Commercial and Residential construction. Must be proficient in operations of hydraulic excavators, graders, and dozers. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, use grade checking equipment and CDL is preferred but not required. You must have a willingness to learn, be dependable, and not afraid of hard work. Must be a self-starter prepared to get to work and with a positive attitude.

 

In addition, the selected candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and have a driver's license in good standing.

LCD is based in Beaverton, Oregon with projects throughout the entire West Coast. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspects assigned equipment prior to operation on a daily basis and reports any issues to supervisor
  • Safely operates assigned equipment, including dozers, graders, hydraulic excavators, and other heavy equipment
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Follows all safety and security procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be insurable through our carrier
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and others
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years of recent experience required
  • Able to operate hydraulic excavators, graders, and dozers
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
  • Able to use grade checking equipment
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of both Commercial and Residential construction
